Democratic Party precinct chairs on Monday selected former Cameron County Judge Gilberto Hinojosa to serve as their chairman.
In a stunningly bonehead move,Gilberto Hinojosa was crowned Democratic Party chair. Any and all previous promises to not use politiqueras are now null and void. Look for unheaded complaints from primary contenders that are not in the clique that party support is slanted even before the primaries.
Sanchez said he does not remember who nominated Hinojosa at the meeting......
I seem to recall that nobody could remember exactly how the Yates papers made it to the DA's office. Was not Hinojosa's name firmly in the middle of that one, too? Is this the new mantra for the local party of the people?
Local Republicans are beside themselves with glee. How else could they get an across-the-board 10% negative slapped on the opposition party without Karl Rove level spinning?
At least the Republicans will say that they came to the decission after praying for guidance.

Personally, I think they would have done better with someone with Zero name recognition. The problem is that people associate name recognition with "usual suspects"
