Monkeys are certainly resilient test subjects—as the seven to nine stabbings per test subject would seem to support.
We find ourselves wondering if the scientifically sacrificed monkeys were then made available on the "bush meat" market to help fund further research. In a manner similar to that employed by Japanese scientists who study whales.
Then we find ourselves wondering at societies where wedding guests expect a hearty serving of traditional monkey pie.
